When kitchen storage gets spicy!

Urgh, it’s the season of coughs and colds alright! There have already been a few circulating PlasticBoxShop HQ this month.

As we’ve sniffled our way through boxes and boxes of tissues, we’ve all been interested to read that one of the simplest way to fight – and possibly even stave off – the cold virus is to include spices in your diet. Sounds easy enough and we’re more than happy to try it, particularly if it means we can tuck into dishes like this tasty-looking curried fish stew by Jamie Oliver or this quick veggie korma from Nigel Slater.

We love to cook with spices at home. Often the kitchen cupboard that houses the spices can be the untidiest in the whole house – but not with our kitchen storage! Here’s our round-up of the best storage options for keeping your spice jars tidy:

This spice organiser box from Lock & Lock has seven little compartments for you to empty your spices into. The airtight lid with rubber seal keeps spices safely inside, plus there’s a handy spoon included. These circular boxes stack neatly in your cupboard or drawer.1359478090-54151000

These mini storage boxes from the Seal It range have a capacity of 230ml. They have a rubber style easy fit lid that makes them airtight, and they’re stackable too.

Add some cute and colourful storage to your kitchen! These round Hobbylife Bon Bon boxes have a capacity of 300ml and are great for storing spices.

sealitPrefer to keep your spices in their jars? Store them together in these Wham tidy storage baskets – it makes it easier to get them down from high shelves in your kitchen cupboards.

And you can keep a lid on them in these 5 litre Wham Clip boxes.
